One of the critical success factors for any endeavor is effective communication. A CEO's vision has value only to the extent that it is well communicated. Technology has greatly increased the communications options available but has not particularly improved its effectiveness. For any given message, a manager must first choose from the many communication tools available today: e-mail, Internet, video, audio, DVD, telephone, brochures, letters, and of course, meetings. Yet whatever the media used, the message is still what counts.

At Stratos, LLC, we emphasize clear communication in every phase of our work. In support of our consulting services, Stratos consultants have developed communication expertise in areas ranging from writing and graphic design to video production and web site development. These services are available when needed as part of any Stratos effort.

Stratos consultants have extensive experience in providing writing services to our clients. Those services have included executive speechwriting, writing of training materials and brochures, conference presentation design, and video scriptwriting. Stratos has written the text of annual reports for companies like Kirby Marine and SulzerMedica and created training and marketing materials for Lexicon Genetics, Shell Chemical, Kodak, and many others.

Stratos also developed the necessary graphics to support various client initiatives including the creation of corporate logos and illustrative characters. In a blend of both of these capabilities for one client, Stratos provided the research, editing, layout, design, and production of a full-color, hardcover book: Saudi Aramco and Its People – A History of Training.

In support of our training and corporate communications work, Stratos consultants have written, directed, edited, and produced a number of films and videos. Past projects have included a six module video guide to working and living in America for expatriates from a large overseas company as well as training videos focusing on the technology used in industries from mining to farming and manufacturing.

On other projects Stratos consultants have designed and produced complete Internet and CD-ROM based programs in support of training and Human Resource Development projects. Past projects have included a CD-ROM based guide to lubricant technology developed for a large international oil company and automated Internet surveys used for corporate assessments.

When requested, Stratos consultants can provide complete web site design and development.  This service is usually integrated into the implementation phase of other Stratos consulting services, but can be provided as a special service.
