Michael Pewitt is Stratos, LLC’s Senior Partner with over 20 years experience as an international management consultant. Michael brings a range of skills to Stratos clients:

• One-on-one experience as consultant and coach for senior management at a number of Fortune 500 companies
• Special expertise in the areas of effective communication, process analysis, and Alliance implementation
• Extensive experience in cross-cultural communication from his work on projects in the Middle East, Europe, South America, Russia, and the Far East
• Strong technical background in the areas of Internet strategy development and interactive training design
• Experienced writer, lecturer, and communications consultant

Before the merger in 1997 that formed Stratos, Michael Pewitt was President of a strategic consulting company, Media Writers Inc. From its beginning in 1979, Media Writers provided services in the areas of process analysis, training design and development, and corporate communications. Over that period, the company worked on projects for more than 70 companies in the United States and abroad. As part of that work, Michael wrote and designed annual reports, created speeches for senior executives, provided personal coaching to top executives, and worked to integrate human resource development with a company’s overall strategic plan. He developed extensive expertise in the selection and use of appropriate media for a specific task. Media Writers designed and developed training programs in such diverse fields as computer software, petrochemicals, medicine, telecommunications, finance, sales, and general management development.

Michael worked on a number of training and communications projects involving technical topics. He developed a special task analysis approach for presenting technical topics to make them more accessible to general audiences. He also designed and developed a series of cross-cultural communications programs that are currently used by American companies working in the Middle East and Europe, and by foreign companies working in the United States.

Michael Pewitt graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas. Prior to 1979, he worked as the creative director for a large advertising agency where he supervised a staff of writers, graphic designers, photographers, and video editors. Michael can read and write Spanish, French, and some Arabic.
