Rick Deans joins Stratos, LLC as a Senior Consultant with more than 25 years of technology development, business/field operations experience and a proven expertise in building, energizing and shaping organizations.
Through his industry and consulting experience, he brings to Stratos, LLC demonstrated expertise in the following:

- Technology Scouting, Deployment And Governance
Rick joined Getty Oil Company as a Research Scientist immediately after completing his graduate studies.
He continued his career through two mergers, first with Texaco and then with Chevron. During his career, Rick held leadership and executive positions in applied research, U.S. and overseas oil & gas operations, worldwide governance of information technology and worldwide R&D commercial product technology. Rick’s 23 years of experience included assignments around the U.S., Canada, the Far East, Europe, and Russia.
After retiring from Chevron/Texaco Rick served as president of Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America, a non-profit oil and gas research investment company, and subsequently an independent consultant.
Rick has served on the Board of Governors of the United Way in New York, a Director of the Academy Industry Program for the National Academies, Director of the Economic Development Council of Duchess County, NY and Chairman of advisory
groups in the Texas A&M University Chemical Engineering Department.
Deans received a B.S. in Chemistry from Texas Lutheran University and earned a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Houston.
