Why Assertiveness Skills Are Important
Do you feel like people don’t listen to what you’re saying? Do you feel like you can’t say no without feeling guilty? Or have you ever felt
controlled or dominated by someone else during a conflict and the results always seem to go their way? Do you wish you could become more assertive in business or personal life? The Stratos Assertiveness Skills Workshop may hold the answers to these and other questions
you may have about becoming more assertive in daily life.
Stratos Assertiveness Skills Workshop Overview
The two-day workshop is designed to focus on behavior experience over theory while working through the basics of understanding assertiveness and behavior types. Participants will experience
increasingly challenging exercises to gain a better awareness of behavior and discover the appropriate responses for the three types of communication styles: assertive, nonassertive, and aggressive.
Stratos, LLC has designed the curriculum so that the participant’s behavior practice gradually increases during the two-day workshop. At the end of the second day, the participant is able to develop and
deliver a conflict-resolving script using all the techniques and tools presented in the workshop. Participants are encouraged throughout the workshop to use their real-world situations for the exercises.
